Robot Team Leads, Production Supervisors and Manager

Job Summary The Robot Operator is responsible for all aspects of the successful operation of the Robotic Line. This crucial line is an especially important department within the bakery and using robotic and leadership skills, produces high quality items.

Responsibilities Associated with Performing the Job

- Use design software to set up the robot.
- Performing technical set-ups and modifications to the machine.
- Build or assemble robotic devices or systems.
- Modify computer-controlled robot movements.
- Maintain inventories of production supplies such as sensors and cables.
- Develop robotic path motions to maximize efficiency, safety, and quality.
- Troubleshooting the pneumatic system.
- Perform a check on heat and pressure.
- Train people on how to work on the robot team
- Ensure production and quality goals are met.
- Perform some preventative maintenance for smooth machine operation as required
- Additional duties as assigned

Health and Safety
- Initiate safety concerns and makes judgment on the best methods of completing tasks.
- Perform regular workplace inspections within Robot department to determine areas that need maintenance or repair.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Comply with the Company policy of PPE usage.

Administrative
- Maintain adequate supplies for the Robotic department
- Complete all necessary reports and records related to the department as required.
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly Robot department checklist.
- Any other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge/Experience Required to Perform the Job




- College degree preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience operating CNC/Machine Programming/HMI.
- Minimum 1 year of experience of PLC based machinery.
- Decorating or artistic ability is an asset.
- Mechanically inclined and strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Highly effective teamwork skills.
- Solid work ethic and positive team attitude.

Mental Effort Required to Perform the Job Mental attentiveness and focus is required to perform tasks according to job and customer specifications. Capacity to receive and implement instructions. Job tasks are repetitious.

Physical Effort Required to Perform the Job

Physical capacity of lifting or moving up to 50 lbs may be required. Pushing, pulling, reaching, griping and climbing stairs required. Standing for prolonged periods of time.

Working Conditions while performing the job

Work is performed in a combination of environments. This position may be exposed to elements such as noise, dust, odours, fumes, compressed air and oils. Overtime as required. PPE is required to perform the job.
