We are Granville Island Spice Co., located inside the famous Granville Island Public Market. We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Part-Time Sales Associate to join our team! If you enjoy connecting with customers, learning about quality ingredients, and creating memorable shopping experiences, we’d love to meet you.

About the Role

As a Sales Associate, you’ll be the face of our gourmet spice store, helping customers find the perfect spices, seasonings, blends, and specialty products for their kitchens. You’ll provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a clean, organized, and inviting retail environment.

Ingredients: What’s on Your Daily Menu?

- Welcome and assist customers with product recommendations and cooking inspiration while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Share your knowledge of spices, herbs, seasonings, and specialty food products.
- Process sales accurately using the point-of-sale system.
- Assist with receiving shipments and conducting inventory counts.
- Restock shelves and maintain attractive product displays.
- Help keep the store clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Demonstrate strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills.
- Previous experience with upselling or cross-selling techniques is an asset.

The Perfect Blend: What We’re Looking For

- A minimum of 2 years of retail experience is required,



with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You are naturally outgoing and have great people skills!
- Friendly, dependable, self-reliant, and eager to learn.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks, including reaching and kneeling, as well as lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Must be available to work weekends (both Saturday and Sunday) and a variety of shifts to meet the needs of the business.
- A passion for cooking, food, or gourmet ingredients is an asset.
- Interest in social media, content creation, or brand engagement is an asset.
- This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a lively environment and interacting with customers. Granville Island is a vibrant place to work as one of Vancouver’s most visited tourist destinations.
