Lead GIS-based architecture projects as a Senior Solution Architect for the Ontario Government’s IT initiatives. This contract role is based onsite in Peterborough or Toronto.
This position involves supporting the Geospatial Ontario IT Program by enhancing architecture artifacts and guiding project teams through OPS Enterprise Architecture Gating processes. The successful applicant will update and present enterprise solutions at Architecture Review Board settings, ensuring alignment with corporate governance.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee application and infrastructure architecture assessments
• Develop supportive architectural policies for IT initiatives
• Provide GIS architecture advice to both project teams and management
• Collaborate across various groups to meet client application needs
• Prepare documents for AGP 3 presentations
Requirements:
• 5+ years of experience in solution architecture, particularly GIS
• Proficiency in OPS Enterprise Architecture processes
• Skilled in interpreting and implementing architectural standards
• Ability to lead diverse technical teams effectively
• Must fulfill contract duties without service breaks
