Job Description
As a Registered Mental Health Nurse working in the prison healthcare system in Craigentinney, you will play a vital role in providing mental health care to inmates. Key Responsibilities

Mental Health Assessment: Conduct thorough mental health assessments for inmates, identifying and diagnosing a range of mental health conditions.

Therapeutic Interventions: Develop and implement individualized care plans, providing therapeutic interventions such as counseling, group therapy, and crisis management.

Medication Management: Administer and manage psychiatric medications, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to medical protocols.

Crisis Response: Be prepared to respond to mental health crises within the prison, providing immediate care and coordinating with emergency services when necessary.

Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists,



social workers, and prison staff, to deliver comprehensive mental health care.

Documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records, complying with healthcare and prison regulations.

Security and Safety: Adhere to all security and safety protocols, ensuring the well-being of both staff and inmates.

Qualifications

Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with a valid license in the United Kingdom.

A strong commitment to delivering high-quality mental health care to all patients.

Excellent clinical assessment, therapeutic, and communication skills.

Ability to work in a secure and challenging setting with compassion and professionalism.
