About the Role

Alteris Consulting is seeking an experienced SAP Quality Assurance Lead to define, lead, and continuously enhance quality assurance and testing strategies across large-scale SAP transformation initiatives, including ECC to SAP S/4HANA implementations, upgrades, integrations, data migrations, enhancements, and production releases.

This role requires deep expertise in SAP testing, quality governance, and test automation, with a strong focus on Tricentis Tosca

. You will lead testing activities across the entire solution lifecycle, ensuring SAP solutions meet business, technical, security, performance, and operational quality requirements while supporting successful project and release outcomes.

Working closely with business stakeholders, SAP functional and technical teams, system integrators, project managers, and third-party vendors, you will provide leadership across test strategy, automated testing, defect management, release readiness, quality reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring alignment with SAP and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the SAP Quality Assurance and Testing workstream across SAP S/4HANA transformation programs and enterprise SAP initiatives.
- Define and implement enterprise-wide SAP testing strategies, standards, governance frameworks, quality gates, and release-readiness processes.
- Develop and maintain master test plans, test schedules, testing methodologies, entry and exit criteria, and quality metrics.
- Lead testing activities across SAP implementations, upgrades, integrations, migrations, enhancements, and support releases.
- Oversee Functional, Integration, System, Regression, End-to-End, Performance, User Acceptance, and Production Readiness Testing.
- Establish and manage an SAP test automation strategy leveraging Tricentis Tosca.
- Identify high-value business processes for automation based on risk, complexity, frequency, and business impact.
- Lead the design, development, execution, and maintenance of automated regression, smoke, and end-to-end test suites.
- Coordinate testing across SAP modules, interfaces, APIs, workflows, reports, forms, integrations, and third-party applications.
- Manage testing environments, test data, access requirements, schedule dependencies, and execution planning.
- Lead defect triage activities and ensure issues are properly documented, prioritized, resolved, retested, and closed.
- Provide quality assessments, testing recommendations, risk reporting, and release-readiness updates to project and executive stakeholders.




- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, developers, architects, integration teams, and vendors to resolve quality issues and drive successful outcomes.
- Support User Acceptance Testing activities with business stakeholders and process owners.
- Lead post-go-live validation, smoke testing, production verification, hypercare, and stabilization activities.
- Drive continuous improvement across testing tools, processes, governance practices, automation capabilities, and team maturity.
- Mentor SAP QA analysts, automation engineers, and testing resources while providing leadership across project teams.

What We’re Looking For

- Extensive experience leading SAP Quality Assurance, Testing, and Test Automation initiatives within SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Tricentis Tosca and SAP test automation frameworks.
- Proven experience developing and implementing SAP testing strategies, automation roadmaps, and quality governance programs.
- Experience leading enterprise testing initiatives across:
- Functional Testing
- Integration Testing
- System Testing
- Regression Testing
- End-to-End Testing
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Performance Testing
- Release Validation Testing
- Strong understanding of SAP business processes and cross-functional integration across multiple workstreams.
- Experience working across SAP landscapes including:
- SAP S/4HANA
- SAP ECC
- SAP Fiori
- SAP Finance & Controlling (FICO)
- SAP Materials Management (MM)
- SAP Sales & Distribution (SD)
- SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)
- SAP Production Planning (PP)
- SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)
- SAP SuccessFactors
- SAP Ariba
- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture, integrations, APIs, middleware, workflows, custom developments, and third-party applications.
- Experience managing test environments, test data, defect management processes, and release-readiness assessments.
- Experience integrating Tricentis Tosca with platforms such as SAP Solution Manager, SAP Cloud ALM, Jira, Azure DevOps, qTest, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to lead QA analysts, automation engineers, business testers, vendors, and system integrators.




- Strong knowledge of risk-based testing methodologies and automation best practices.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives, releases, priorities, and dependencies within complex enterprise transformation programs.

Preferred Qualifications

- Tricentis Tosca Certification.
- Experience with Tricentis qTest.
- Experience with SAP Solution Manager and/or SAP Cloud ALM.
- Experience supporting SAP Activate and large-scale SAP transformation programs.
- Experience with API, integration, performance, security, and database testing.
- Knowledge of test data management and service virtualization.
- ISTQB, SAP, Agile, or Quality Assurance certifications.
- Experience working within regulated, audit-controlled, or enterprise environments.
