Position Title: Senior Accountant Location: Cambridge, ON

Work Location: On-Site

Work type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000

The Position

We’re seeking a Senior Accountant to join a dynamic, multi-entity privately held investment group in a highly hands-on role reporting directly to the CFO. You’ll own the full transactional accounting cycle including AR, AP, payroll, reconciliations, and tax filings, while helping build the processes and systems that keep the organization running smoothly. Beyond day-to-day accounting, you’ll gain exposure to more complex accounting matters and financial reporting, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while working closely with leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Transactional Accounting Execute full-cycle accounting across multiple entities including operating companies, holding entities,



and investment vehicles

Process all accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions

Set up and execute banking transactions, including payments, transfers, and reconciliations

Record journal entries, complete reconciliations, and maintain supporting schedules

Maintain general ledgers and take full ownership of the accuracy of financial records

Process payroll and administer related remittances and filings

Prepare and file HST returns and other statutory remittances

Own month-end and year-end close processes from start to finish

Handle intercompany transactions across entities Financial Reporting & Compliance Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for all entities

Produce consolidated reporting across entities

Complete tax compliance filings and coordinate directly with external advisors

Maintain audit-ready documentation and manage external audit processes as required Process Improvement & Controls Optimize and document standardized accounting workflows

Implement internal controls across entities

Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements independently

Build scalable systems to support future growth Systems & Automation Use accounting systems (MS Dynamics 365 Business Central)

Own data integrity and optimize reporting capabilities

Lead system implementations and upgrades as needed

Build templates, dashboards, and reporting tools for management Qualifications

Required CPA designation (or near completion)

4+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong technical accounting knowledge (ASPE)

Experience managing full-cycle accounting independently

Advanced Excel skills

High attention to detail and solid organizational skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities across entities

Professional discretion and integrity when handling confidential information Assets Experience in a Family Office, private investment firm, or multi-entity setting

Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Finance / Business Central)

Experience with consolidations and intercompany accounting

Exposure to investment accounting, real estate, construction, or private operating businesses
