POSITION OVERVIEW
Startec Compression & Process is currently recruiting a B-Pressure Vessel Welder to work at our Shepard Shop (9423 Shepard Rd SE, Calgary, AB, T2C 4R6). The B-Pressure Vessel Welder's main responsibilities will include welding metal pressure vessels based on drawings provided, using techniques that adhere to all specifications for vessels, piping, and welding assembly. Shift Details: 4:30 p.m. – 2:20 a.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

Journeyman trades certificate (preferably welding or pipe fitting)

2+ years of experience in vessel welding is required

B-Pressure Certificate





Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is considered an asset

Ability to pass a pre-employment functional, alcohol, and drug test

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPI)
VESSELS

Must have experience with fabrication and welding of pressure vessels

Read prints, layout, fit, and weld as required

Experience with SMAW, GMAW, FCAW/GTAW weld processes

Maintain a secure and organized work environment

Rigging along with the use of overhead and jib cranes

SAFETY

Maintain a safe work environment

Participate in safety and company programs

Team player with positive engagement

Participate in project reviews with engineering & drafting
