The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our Electrical Maintenance Team in Long Harbour, NL. The role is a permanent on-site position, working a 4x10s Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday schedule at our Long Harbour Operations Site. As an Electrical Maintenance Planner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive planning and scheduling support to the Maintenance Teams at the Long Harbour Operations while working collaboratively with operations and other departments to ensure optimal utilization of labour, materials, and equipment. This position develops detailed maintenance and construction plans for electrical infrastructure across the site. Your experience and skills will play a key part in supporting both short‑term and long‑term maintenance strategies and contribute to the overall reliability and performance of assets.

Ensure that all work packages are in accordance with established safety policies and procedures and adhere to all Vale quality control standards where required.

Track work package estimates against actual values with respect to resources, materials, and cost for continuous improvement purposes and ensure that all costs are allocated properly.

Continuously improve material selection, work practices, and planning processes through effective use of established procedures to improve the efficiency and quality of planned work packages.

Provide guidance and instruction as appropriate when working with the Material Coordinators to requisition parts,



follow-up with procurement, and prepare job kits for planned jobs.

Attend and contribute to the weekly business routines defined within the planning and scheduling work management process which would include the weekly pre-scheduled meeting as well as the 7-21 work order form log priority setting meetings.

Contribute to Maintenance Shutdown planning strategies identifying and prioritizing future maintenance requirements, tracking the project and cost controls, and working with operations, engineering, maintenance and outside contractors to ensure successful and safe execution.

About You
Education

Post secondary education is required in an electrical discipline.

Preference may be given to a Bachelor of Engineering Degree or Engineering Technologist Diploma.

An Interprovincial Red Seal may be considered.

A Project Management Professional (PMP) designation would be considered an asset.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of work experience in Maintenance Planning, Maintenance Supervision, or a closely related discipline in a heavy industrial or mining environment.

Previous experience coordinating major maintenance activities or shutdowns would be considered an asset.

Previous experience with project controls, tracking, costing, budgeting, etc. would be considered an asset.

Familiarity with Long Harbour Operations or similar processing facilities would be an asset.

Skills

Proficient in SAP, MS office, Power BI, and P6.

A strong understanding of RCAs and of industrial electrical systems,



including low‑ and medium‑voltage distribution, protection systems, motors, drives, and control circuits.

Analytical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.

Flexible and adaptable, able to respond to changing roles and environment in a positive and constructive manner while managing multiple priorities.

Able to build and maintain strong positive relationships across multiple work groups.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
