SageBond

Toronto

Company Description SageBond provides senior companionship, in-home support, and care coordination for families across the Greater Toronto Area. The company’s model centers on stable relationships, pairing each client with a dedicated coordinator and a consistent companion who visits regularly and builds trust over time.

Many SageBond companions are active older adults themselves, offering peer-to-peer connection rooted in shared life experience. Services range from companion and wellness visits to meal preparation, light housekeeping, transportation, medication reminders, technology assistance, and support through life transitions. SageBond was created by families who experienced the challenges of caring for aging parents and is designed to offer the kind of reliable, person-centered support they wished had been available.

Role Description The Senior Companion is an on-site role based in Toronto, ON, providing consistent social, emotional, and practical support to older adults in their homes and communities. Day-to-day responsibilities include visiting clients on a regular schedule, engaging in conversation and activities, providing companionship, and offering light assistance with tasks such as light housekeeping, and organization.

The Senior

Companion may support clients with safe transportation to appointments and outings, medication reminder routines, and basic technology use (such as phones, tablets, or video calls) to help them stay connected with family and friends.

The role involves closely collaborating with the care coordinator, communicating updates about client wellbeing, and following care plans that support safety, dignity, and independence.
