Role Description This is a full-time, in office CPA role based in the Greater Vancouver Metropolitan Area. The CPA will prepare and review individual and corporate tax returns, ensure compliance with relevant tax laws, and support proactive tax planning strategies for clients.
Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and analyzing financial statements, performing accounting and bookkeeping oversight, and contributing to assurance and audit engagements. The role involves advising clients on business structures, financial performance, and risk management, as well as responding to tax inquiries and supporting government filings.
The CPA will collaborate with team members, communicate clearly with clients, and help maintain PSG CPA’s high standards of service and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Strong technical skills in Accounting and Finance, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, including working papers and supporting documentation for assurance and audit engagements.
- Proficiency in Tax Preparation, including individual and corporate returns, tax planning, and compliance with Canadian tax regulations.
- Active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or equivalent recognized professional accounting credential.
- Relevant experience in public practice, preferably serving small to medium-sized businesses and not-for-profit organizations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and tax matters to clients in clear terms.
- Proficiency with accounting and tax software, and solid working knowledge of Excel and other office productivity tools.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate within a team-focused, client-service-oriented setting.
