Casual Registered Nurse, Operating Room & Surgical Day Care

As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Registered Nurses at Dryden Regional Health Centre provide comprehensive, compassionate nursing care to a variety of clients. As a full‑time registered nurse you will provide and coordinate nursing care to assigned clients consistent with current standards of professional practice with the Ontario College of Nurses.

Requirements

- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
- Current BLS, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider credentials
- Completed the Operating Room Techniques Course for Registered Nurses from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two (2) years Operating Room experience in circulating and scrubbing considered an asset
- Must be able to be on stand‑by
- Experience working in Emergency, Critical Care and OBS would be an asset
- Positive physical health
- Willing to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
- Demonstration of strong nursing practice, skill and judgment
- Excellent interpersonal skills including superior verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated critical thinking, leadership, and mentoring skills
- Must be able to work in a team‑oriented environment
- Demonstrates behaviours consistent with Dryden Regional Health Centre's Code of Conduct and Standards of Behaviour
- Proven attendance record




- Able to perform the essential duties of the job
- Demonstrates DRHC Core Values; Accountability, Integrity, Humility, Compassion and Respect
- Immunization records must be presented prior to hire
