Shifty Eye Studios is looking for a 3D Character Animator to help bring our characters to life. We're looking for people with at least three years experience up to senior - if you're not sure if that's you, go ahead and apply anyway, we'd love to hear from you.

The job will have a primary focus of this position will be the production of in-game cinematic work and character animation utilizing Unity 6. This entails creating visually compelling narratives through animated sequences that enhance the gameplay experience, while also ensuring that character movements are fluid, believable and cohesive with the game's environment and other cinematics. The role will require a strong understanding of Unity and Maya, particularly in the context of Cinemachine's timelines and animation integration.

Job Requirements:
Work from home with the expectation for local candidates must be able to attend weekly animation review meetings




Minimum of 3 years experience of cinematics in TV, movie or gaming productions

Job Responsibilities:
Animate realistic character movements for in-game cinematics
Exhibit a robust understanding of character acting
Set up cinematic shots and create dynamic character poses
Manage post-processing and 3-point lighting for cinematic shots
Submit weekly progress recordings and reports
Perform motion capture clean-up
Previous experience with game development is a plus

Program Knowledge:
Proficiency in Autodesk Maya
Familiarity in Unity (Cinemachine & timelines + animation importation), our studio is currently using Unity 6
Exhibit a solid understanding of character acting & facial performance
Experience with Studio Library
