We are recruiting on behalf of a leading Canadian technology and software group, a dynamic portfolio company within a well-established, publicly traded parent. With a large number of independently managed software companies, the group offers a unique setting focused on long-term growth, strategic acquisitions, and operational excellence.

This is a highly visible, portfolio-facing role for a candidate who wants to sit alongside a Portfolio CEO and CTO as part of a small executive team, rather than simply report numbers up the chain.

Key responsibilities and oversight:

- Act as the primary finance partner for a defined subset of the group's operating businesses ($20m–$30m net revenue), providing financial insights and challenging assumptions alongside executive leadership.
- Lead financial reporting and management reporting across the portfolio.
- Oversee budgeting,



forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Manage acquisition accounting and purchase price allocation (PPA) processes in support of ongoing M& A activity.
- Support operational efficiency initiatives, including process improvements and analysis.
- Lead a team of 5–6 finance professionals, including a high-performing offshore team.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS standards and assist in revenue recognition, acquisition accounting, and related technical accounting areas.
- Help shape the integration of AI agents into finance processes as part of a broader push through 2026.
