About Omnify
For over 20 years, Omnify Lighting has been a leading North American manufacturer of architectural back lighting systems, home to our patented LumiSheet⢠light guide panel technology. We build custom lighting solutions for some of the world's top retail, hospitality, and architectural brands, and we run on a high-performance, team-based culture where craftsmanship and safety go hand in hand.
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Logistics Coordinator to own the end-to-end movement of goods in and out of our facility, from coordinating with our packaging team and plant supervisor to keeping clients and internal stakeholders informed, to managing the vendor and carrier relationships that make on-time delivery possible.
This is not an entry-level or trainee role. We need someone who has done this before, can walk in and immediately manage vendor relationships and shipping schedules with minimal ramp-up, and is comfortable pushing back on suppliers or internal teams, respectfully and constructively when a deadline is at risk. You'll work closely with Finance to maintain carrier relationships and keep accurate records for accounting, and with the plant floor to make sure nothing ships late because of a logistics gap.
This role sits at the center of several teams; packaging, plant operations, finance, and the client, and only works if the person in it is a genuine teammate: someone who communicates proactively instead of waiting to be asked, shares the load instead of guarding their lane, and sees a delay anywhere in the chain as their problem to help solve, not someone else's.
We run Epicor ERP company-wide, and this role will use it daily for job tracking, T&E-related; entries, and shipment records. Prior Epicor experience is a strong asset and will shorten your ramp-up significantly; experience with a comparable ERP/TMS system is also welcome
What You'll Own
- Shipment coordination & on-time delivery: Track outbound shipments end-to-end and coordinate directly with the packaging team and plant supervisor to ensure items ship on schedule, escalating and resolving delays before they become client-facing problems.
- Client & internal communication: Provide explicit, proactive shipping and delivery status updates to clients and internal stakeholders; you're often the first point of contact when something needs to move faster or when a delay needs to be communicated honestly and early.
- Vendor & carrier management: Manage relationships with logistics vendors and carriers, including rate discussions, service issues, and performance follow-up.
Work with Finance to maintain and strengthen carrier relationships over time.
- Records & documentation: Maintain accurate shipping records, carrier invoices, and logistics documentation for accounting purposes, clean, audit-ready records, not just notes.
- Inbound logistics: Ensure inbound materials and supplies arrive when needed with minimal logistical delay. (This role is not responsible for inventory management, stock levels, or warehouse inventory accuracy, that sits with [Inventory/Warehouse team]. Your job is the logistics of getting it here on time, not tracking what's on the shelf.)
- Systems & reporting: Track job-related shipping and logistics data accurately; generate basic reporting on delivery performance and vendor costs for management review.
- Problem-solving under pressure: Resolve shipping and carrier issues in real time, including root-causing recurring delays and proposing process fixes. We want someone who identifies problems and proposes solutions, not just flags them and waits.
- Cross-team collaboration: Act as the connective tissue between packaging, plant operations, and finance on anything shipping-related. This means flagging risks early, adjusting your own plan when another team hits a snag, and treating shared deadlines as shared ownership rather than “not my department.”
Requirements
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in a logistics coordinator, senior coordinator, or logistics analyst role, ideally in a manufacturing, plant, or production environment
- Direct experience managing carrier/vendor relationships, including rate and service-level discussions
- Comfort communicating directly with external clients and colleagues on shipping status and delays, professionally, clear, and calm under pressure.
- ERP experience required; Epicor experience strongly preferred
- Strong Excel skills and general comfort with logistics/shipping software
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with production/plant staff and finance/accounting
- A track record of taking ownership of a problem rather than escalating everything upward. We need someone who can be handed ambiguity at times and run with it
- Professional maturity to navigate difficult conversations (with vendors, clients, or internal teams) without becoming confrontational or defensive
- A collaborative, low-ego working style; you communicate
openly and honestly with teammates, ask for help when you need it, and offer it when others do, even outside your immediate lane
This role is a strong fit for Omnify's core values in practice:
- Team: you build trust with packaging, plant, and
finance through consistent, honest communication, not just task handoffs
- Customer Centric: every shipping decision gets filtered through “does this reduce friction for the client”
- Problem Solver: you fix root causes on recurring delays, not just the shipment in front of you
- Less is More: you prioritize ruthlessly and
don't let process become busy work
- Growth Mindset: you're coachable, and you see feedback as fuel rather than a threat
Nice to Have
- Prior experience in a company with an integrated production/creative or multi-brand operation
- Experience setting up or improving logistics-related
