Heavy Duty Mechanic – Military Vehicle Fleet Red Seal, Military background or Experience THREE YEAR POSITIONS Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team maintaining and repairing military vehicles and related equipment.

The successful candidate will perform inspections, diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and repairs on a diverse fleet of tactical and support vehicles while ensuring the highest standards of safety, reliability, and quality.

Key Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, service, and repair military and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment.

Perform preventive maintenance according to manufacturer and military maintenance schedules.

Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems.

Repair engines, transmissions, drivetrains, suspension, steering, braking, and fuel systems.

Use diagnostic software, testing equipment, and service manuals to identify and correct faults.

Complete work orders, maintenance records, and inspection reports accurately.

Ensure all repairs comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and protected work environment.





Support field maintenance operations when required.

Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet operational readiness goals.

Qualifications Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment Technician certification or equivalent preferred.

Experience repairing heavy-duty trucks, construction equipment, military vehicles, or similar equipment.

Robust knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrain components.

Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

Experience using computerized diagnostic equipment.

Valid driver's license (Class 3 or equivalent is an asset).

Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance, if applicable.

Welding and fabrication experience is considered an asset.

Skills & Attributes Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

Excellent attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
