ROTATION: Equal Rotation
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Contract, Full Time
CONTRACT: Long Term Contract; Estimate 400 Days + 300 Day Option
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: Four (4)
JOB SUMMARY: Senior Rig Mechanic is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the hydraulic facilities and equipment.
PRE-REQUISITES/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Marine Diesel Mechanics Certificate or Equivalent Combination of Experience and Training
- 4+ years’ experience as a Rig Mechanic on a 6th Generation Ultra-Deepwater Semi-Submersible
- 4+ years’ experience with AKMH, MH Wirth and MH Crown Compensator equipment
- Previous experience with all Hydraulic equipment power units, tanks levels, etc.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively
- Structured and organized mindset
- High level of integrity
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Must pass Physical, Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform maintenance and repair work as well as fault-finding work on hydraulic systems.
- Update drawings of hydraulic systems (P&ID;) whenever approved changes are made.
- Responsible for hydraulic workshop w/equipment.
- Responsible for stock of hydraulic hoses and fittings.
- Observe to uncover any non-compliance and immediately report these to his superior.
- Responsible for ensuring that all work is done safely and professionally and actively take part in safety meetings and other meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
