We have an exciting prospect to join our rural acute care team. Nurses who apply will have the opportunity to work in both Acute Care and ER. Our hospital contains 35 acute care beds on 2 units and a busy 13 bed ER. Our multidisciplinary team works closely together to service all of the needs of our residents. Lacombe is one of Alberta’s newest cities that has retained its small town feel and is located a short 15-minute drive north of Red Deer. Lacombe offers a rich natural environment of lakes and green spaces, along with an unrivaled range of lifestyle amenities. Our facility serves the city and surrounding rural areas and communities.

As a Unit Clerk, you will be responsible for the effective flow of communication between health specialists, departments,



patients and families while maintaining confidentiality of patient information. You will also be responsible for a variety of administrative tasks which may include reception, greeting and directing visitors, patients and health professionals, maintaining patient records and charts, transcribing and processing physician orders as well as scheduling patient tests and/or treatments. You will also be responsible for performing a range of administrative activities in support of the unit.

Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent. Completion of an accredited Unit Clerk Course or equivalent training program.
