As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be working with senior executives both in-house and externally on many large scale multi-million, and even billion dollar, projects.
Position Description
Representing your client’s best interest your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Ensuring that all stakeholders are delivering on contractually agreements
Overseeing all cost management activities representing clients best interests in terms of estimates, expenditures, etc.
Pre, during and post construction costing/estimates.
Participating in value management and value engineering techniques
Managing entire life cycle costing processes
Liaising with clients and all stakeholders throughout all stages of the project
Bringing any discrepancies to the attention of the client, outlining risks and making recommendations
Attending stakeholder meetings
Compiling regular reports for clients
Experience
Must have 8 + years of experience in cost estimating/consulting
Must have experience working directly for a consultancy representing stakeholders best interests
Qualifications
8+ years’ experience in cost estimating/consulting
8+ years’ experience delivering pre-construction and post contract construction cost services
Professional Quantity Surveyor (PQS) or working towards obtaining the PQS designation.
Membership in positive standing with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or any other relevant skilled organization
Completion of a University degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or other related field.
Experience with large scale multi-million dollar projects
Experience with civil works, railways, subway systems, metro systems, etc.
Education
Completion of a University degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction or other related field.
Membership in good standing with the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS), The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or any other relevant professional organization
PQS designation or working towards PQS
