Contribute to youth development as a Youth Support Worker at PLEA Community Services in Surrey, BC. Engage with at-risk youth through tailored activities and guidance.
This full time, temporary role is focused on supporting youth with complex care needs, including mental health and behavioral challenges. You will play a crucial part in their educational, recreational, and life skill development while ensuring a protected setting.
Serving as a trusted support, you'll implement strategies to help youth navigate challenges and strengthen community ties.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate one-on-one activities for youth
Provide close supervision and emotional support
Develop and implement individualized support plans
Teach life skills and promote community engagement
Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field
One year experience with high-risk youth
Knowledge of youth care best practices
Valid BC Driver's License needed
First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
Empower youth to achieve their goals and thrive through supportive engagement and guidance.
