Service Manager – Full-Time, Permanent Position
Position Location: Brooks, Alberta
Start Date: September 14, 2026, or will be based upon a date mutually agreed upon between Vanee Farm Centre inc. and the candidate.

This position will be based out of our Brooks, Alberta location where we support our customers with products such as

THE ROLE
As a key member of the Vanee Farm Centre Inc. team,
the Service Manager reports to the Branch Manager and is responsible for leading the Service department. This role is accountable for ensuring high-quality workmanship,
delivering exceptional customer service, fostering strong customer relationships, and maintaining efficient day-to-day operations. The Service Manager's primary focus is on leading the team, managing workflow, and supporting customers,
while also providing technical guidance, assisting with complex diagnostics, and stepping in to support technicians during peak workloads when required. The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Lead, coach, and develop technicians, apprentices, and staff within the Service department.
- Schedule and oversee daily workflow to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Train and mentor Service department employees.
- Foster a positive workplace culture focused on safety, teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships by providing exceptional service and resolving concerns
professionally.
- Collaborate with the Parts and Sales departments to ensure efficient communication and a seamless customer
experience.
- Oversee service operations, including work order management, shop scheduling, pre-delivery inspections (PDIs),
warranty repairs, and field service.
- Monitor department performance, productivity, and profitability while identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure accurate service documentation, invoicing, and warranty administration.
- Provide technical guidance and assist with complex diagnostics or repairs when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe,
and organized work environment in compliance with company policies and Alberta
Occupational Health and Safety legislation.
- Work collaboratively with the Branch Manager to support the overall success, growth, and profitability of the
Service Department while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
REQUIREMENTS
- Journeyperson Agricultural Equipment Technician, Heavy Equipment Technician, or equivalent trade
certification.
- 3-5 years of experience in mechanical service, with previous supervisory, foreman, or management experience
(preferred).
- Robust leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to build strong relationships and resolve concerns professionally and
effectively.
- Experience with CDK or a similar dealership management system (considered an asset).
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver's abstract.
o Class 1 or Class 3 license (considered an asset). SALARY AND BENEFITS The starting salary for this position is $90,000 per year, with the successful candidate’s salary being determined based on relevant experience and/or training.
