We have a small retail shipping-receiving department at our Vancouver store (2170 West 41st Ave) that receives merchandise from our suppliers, distributes stock to all stores, fulfills salespeople’s stock requests and special orders, plus timely and accurate shipping of our e-commerce orders. This department’s two employees work closely with our Buyer.

Temporary opening: We require a shipper-receiver for three to five months to cover for a leave-of-absence. Starting mid to late August. End date unknown.

Skills and experience:

- Required: Related shipping-receiving experience in a retail store using a computerized inventory system. (we use Aralco retail system)
- Required: Interest in photography and therefore good knowledge of cameras and accessories. Product knowledge required because products are not organized by SKU/code.
- Required: Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented and extremely accurate. Our stores rely on their inventory being 100% accurate in order to meet their customer’s expectations.
- Required: A retail customer service focus (our shipping/receiving dept is key to the success of our stores and salespeople).
- Required: Able to regularly lift and carry up to 20kg. (Note: It’s a small shipping/receiving dept so we do NOT have forklifts or other warehouse equipment.)
- Previous Camera retail sales and/or photolab experience would be a valuable asset.

Schedule:

- Mondays to Fridays. Daytime shifts

Wages:

- $20 to $23 per hour. Wage rate depends on experience.
