The Prospect: The Resident Care Manager (RCM) is responsible to the Director of Care (DOC) for the management of the Resident Care Services within the long-term care residence (RCM-RN or RCM-LPN). The Resident Care Manager ensures the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the overall operation of the home in accordance with current applicable provincial standards, guidelines, and regulations, to ensure that the highest standard of resident care is delivered and maintained at all times. What You Will Do:



Participates in the recruitment and selection of care staff and facilitates the orientation of qualified care team members to ensure a full staff complement is maintained in collaboration with the Director of Care and Education Services. Ensures a high standard of performance and a strong resident service orientation by providing regular feedback and enforcing policies, procedures, and standards. Ensures the completion of probationary and annual performance appraisals on all assigned neighbourhood nursing staff. Ensures residents are welcomed in accordance with AgeCare policy and provincial standards including overseeing the move-in process of residents; ensures resident move-in assessments are completed. Ensures Resident Pre-Move-in, Move-in and Annual Care Conferences are scheduled. Keeps the Director of Care and site management team apprised of emerging issues. Ensure that the care plan is resident centred, and that person centered language is used throughout the care. Ensures medications are on site on day of move-in. Ensures Medication Reconciliation on move-in and
