The Site Superintendent is a full time, in office role located in Calgary, AB, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on construction projects. This position coordinates and supervises site activities, including scheduling trades, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed in accordance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.

The Site

Superintendent manages site documentation, conducts regular inspections, and communicates with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to address issues and maintain timelines. The role includes enforcing health and safety procedures, overseeing quality control, and supporting cost management by tracking materials, labor, and changes in scope.

Qualifications

- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a general contractor, overseeing commercial construction projects.




- Experience leading on-site construction operations, including supervision of trades, coordination of schedules, and management of daily site activities.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality control practices for commercial and residential projects.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and contracts, with the ability to identify conflicts and propose solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, project managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and suppliers.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, including experience implementing and enforcing site-specific safety plans.
- Previous experience as a Site Superintendent, Foreperson, or similar leadership role in the construction industry.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to work on-site full time in Calgary, AB.
