This managerial role encompasses the ownership of HSSE strategy, involving the management of an enterprise system and direct accountability for regulatory compliance and workplace safety. With over five years in heavy industry, you will mentor staff and interact with regulatory bodies to ensure a proactive approach towards risk management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
• Own HSSE management system and set strategic objectives
• Develop and report HSSE KPIs to leadership
• Mentor staff on safety culture and accountability




• Manage incident investigations and reporting requirements
• Oversee emergency preparedness and response planning

Requirements:
• Diploma/degree in Occupational Health & Safety or related field
• Five+ years HSSE experience in heavy industry
• Deep knowledge of Ontario OHSA and WSIB processes
• Experience in building HSSE management systems
• Ability to engage with regulatory bodies
