Key Responsibilities - Acquisitions and Revenue Contracts - Manage acquisition processes - coordinating due diligence meetings, support collection of key inputs and support deal structuring and execution.
- Manage RFP responses end-to-end - coordinating pricing, strategy, technical input, and bid documentation with development and financial modeling teams.
- Analytical & Market Fundamentals - Oversight and peer review of financial and market models supporting pricing, hedge structures, risk evaluation, capacity/REC valuation, and exposure analysis for both new builds and operating assets.
- Provide senior-level analytics for long-term plan cycles, budget impacts, and commercial assumptions that inform Investment Committee materials.
- Monitor market fundamentals, competitor activity, regulatory developments, and commodity trends to inform strategic positioning across Northland's portfolio.
- Cross-Functional Coordination & Portfolio Support - Partner across the business to ensure all projects have a clear, aligned commercialization pathway that reflects local market design and buyer demand.
- Support internal governance processes - including IC memos, commercial checkpoints, and energy marketing approvals - ensuring clear recommendations and commercial risk narratives.

- Analytical and detail-oriented, with exceptional modeling capabilities and a track record of translating complex market dynamics into clear commercial insights.
- Confident and relationship-driven, able to lead conversations with buyers, intermediaries, and internal executives.
- Adaptable and collaborative,
thriving in a fast-paced environment with multiple, shifting priorities.
Qualifications and Experience - 3–5 years of progressive experience in the North American power industry.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian electricity market regulations and supply/demand fundamentals.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and Power Point, and excellent communication skills, including experience preparing and delivering commercial presentations to senior leaders or external counterparties.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or related field required; Master's degree or CFA/FRM is considered an asset.
