We're seeking an experienced Sr. Instrumentation Associate to join our Equipment and Reliability Engineering team.Minimum Requirements:

- 10 years of experience

- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

- Must be a Skilled Engineer (P.ENG)

Responsibilities:

- Review shift log daily regarding recent instrumentation-related issues in the plant.
- Provide technical support to operations & maintenance during troubleshooting activities to recover plant production, as required

- Review equipment test results and advise on the frequency & scope of maintenance activities or if repairs / replacements/equipment upgrades are needed

- Participate in risk analysis work activities, develop engineering solutions for various plant issues

- Complete instrumentation engineering work packages for equipment reliability improvements and ensure compliance with Syncrude's SPI(s), specifications and standards

- Location and other Key Details:

- You will work out of a Syncrude location in Fort McMurray
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs

- This position is safety sensitive
