Job Summary

We are looking for a part time time person to work aprox 2 days per week (flexible)

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Store Clerk to join our dynamic retail team. This is a smaller Home Hardware store that can be fast paced at times. As a employee here, you would be responsible for: Running checkouts, making sales, mixing paint, customer service in all departments, loading/carry outs and more.

We work as a team here and pick up the slack where needed. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product sales, and maintaining an organized store environment, perform carry outs for customers and answer phones.

This role requires someone who is Loyal, Trustworthy , Honest, who posses a friendly demeanor, positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively in a retail setting.

Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Process transactions accurately using the POS system, including cash handling and checkout duties.
- Conduct product demonstrations and provide technical sales support to enhance customer understanding of products.
- Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Maintain weekly merchandise displays and ensure the store is well-organized and visually appealing.




- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly while maintaining a positive shopping experience.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain store standards.
- Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy periods and keeping busy during the slow times.

Skills Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.

- Experience in retail sales, technology sales, or technical sales is a plus.
- Proficient in merchandising techniques to create attractive product displays.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering operations.
- Excellent organizational skills to keep the store environment tidy and efficient.
- Robust customer service orientation with a focus on building relationships with customers.
- Ability to manage time effectively, especially during peak shopping hours.
