Become a key part of IWK Health's Preschool Autism Services in Halifax. As a clinical psychologist, you will diagnose autism in preschoolers while collaborating with families and professionals.
The role requires a PhD in Clinical Psychology and emphasizes conducting assessments for preschool and school-age children. You’ll support diverse families by providing evidence-based assessments and interventions alongside an integrated service delivery team. Your expertise will enhance access to vital autism diagnostic services province-wide.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct clinical diagnostic assessments for autism
• Collaborate with families and interprofessional teams
• Provide caregiver education and support
• Assist in care coordination for children's interventions
• Participate in enhancing autism service delivery
Requirements:
• PhD in Clinical Psychology with established credentials
• Minimum one year of relevant residency experience
• Proficiency in autism assessment tools (ADOS-2)
• Knowledge of psychological diagnosis and treatment techniques
• Ability to supervise and mentor colleagues
