Elevate your woodworking skills as a Part-Time Woodworking Technician with the City of Niagara Falls. Work under guidance to create a safe and engaging environment for woodworking enthusiasts in this temporary role.
This position offers a unique opportunity to assist the Woodworking Technician in a cultural setting. You will help ensure safety in the workshop, supervise new users, and assist in training sessions. Collaboration with the Cultural Development Coordinator will enable you to contribute to programming for all ages and abilities while preparing project materials tailored to participants' skill levels.
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure a hazard-free woodworking studio setting
• Assist with supply inventory and ordering processes
• Deliver safety training to current participants
• Support programming and workshop development
• Provide coverage for the Woodworking Technician when needed
Requirements:
• Post-Secondary education in woodworking or carpentry
• Minimum three years’ experience in woodworking
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Ability to operate machinery and tools independently
• Well-developed communication and customer service skills
