Big Country Equipment is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians for their Sparwood, BC location. Technicians will work on a variety of heavy equipment in mining and construction environments, with company-provided housing and paid flights from anywhere in Canada. The ideal candidate is a Red Seal Journeyman with solid troubleshooting skills and a commitment to safety and professionalism.

- 14x14 schedule, 12-hour days

What You’ll Need





- Minimum 3 years recent experience with off-road construction and mining equipment
- Journeyman Heavy Duty Off-Road Technician certification
- Red Seal required
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Proficiency in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs comfortably
- Pass 8-panel drug test (including marijuana) and alcohol breath test
- Clean 5-year driver’s abstract
- Pass criminal record check
- Provide 2 direct supervisor references

What Will Make You Stand Out

- Experience with mining equipment (preferred)
- Experience with Hitachi, Komatsu, CAT, and John Deere brands
- Experience with surface drills and electric/hydraulic shovels
