This position will be in the following location : Joffre Administration 1 Red Deer, AB
What We Are Looking For: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum 4th Class ABSA Power Engineer's Certificate of Competency is required
3rd Class ABSA Power Engineer's Certificate of Competency or greater would be considered an asset
Power Engineering Technology Diploma would be considered an asset
Power Engineering operating experience in an industrial plant setting
Demonstrated understanding of and ability to apply various acts, codes and regulations appropriate for the position
Effective interpersonal skills, high level of personal motivation and ability to adapt to change
Demonstrated commitment to health, safety and environment (HSE), Responsible Care® and operational safety excellence
Effective communication skills to manage a wide variety of operational priorities and work activities

Additional Information: Relocation will be considered for this position
Compensation will be commensurate with education and experience
This role may require up to 10% travel including occasional ad hoc travel between Canada and the U.S. and internationally based on business needs




This is a 12-hour rotating shift position
Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors in all seasons
Positions will include some lifting and climbing of ladders within various levels of the units
Overtime and callouts are a requirement of the role due to the 24 hour per day plant operation
In order to fulfil the duties of this role, the successful candidate will be required to wear respiratory protective equipment. Candidate must successfully pass a fit test and be physically able to wear a respirator
The successful candidate is required to provide proof of a valid driver’s license and be able to travel between Canada and the U.S. and/or internationally without restriction
