The Investment Operations team is responsible for all accounting and valuations for the CanadaLife Assurance Company segregated funds and general account assets.

The Fund Accountant plays a significant role in the daily fund valuation process. This position isresponsible for performing daily procedures and activities, such as trade capture,reconciliations, pricing and analysis of the day over day change in the balance sheet andincome statement for each fund.

What you will do:

Responsible for performing tasks in support of the calculation of Daily Net Asset Valuation of
Segregated Funds and General Account Portfolios

Trade execution and administration (calculation of trade amount and execution of daily
trades based on cash flows

Daily reconciliation of cash and custody positions

Daily problem solving and issue resolution with custodians, investment managers, internaland external stakeholders

Assist management in streamlining and documenting processes

Daily pricing of segregated funds and/or general accounts

Perform ad hoc projects

Other general or department wide tasks as assigned

What you will bring:

Completion of post secondary education, specializing in Accounting/Finance, such asBusiness Administration or B. Comm.

Working towards a professional accounting designation would be considered an asset

Completion of the Canadian Securities Course would be considered an asset

Experience with segregated funds, mutual funds and securities/investments would beconsidered an asset

Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

Well demonstrated attention to detail

Ability to work independently and in a team setting





Well-developed organizational and time management skills, with the ability to deal withfluctuating work volumes

The base salary for this position is between $50,900.00 - $76,400.00 annually. This represents base salary only and does not represent other variable compensation components of our total compensation ( i.e. annual bonus, commission etc).
