Our West Edmonton Mall location will be Canada's first DJI Authorized Experience Store—a flagship destination where customers can experience DJI's industry-leading drones, camera stabilization systems, and imaging technology firsthand.

Position Summary The Assistant Store Manager partners with the Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, drive sales performance, and deliver an outstanding customer experience.

This role is responsible for leading, coaching, and developing the Sales Representative team while ensuring smooth daily operations. In the absence of the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager assumes full responsibility for store operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise, coach, schedule, and develop a team of 5–6 Sales Representatives.
- Support the Store Manager in achieving store sales goals and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), including conversion rate, average transaction value, and units per transaction.
- Assist with recruiting, onboarding, and training new team members.
- Conduct regular performance conversations and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Serve as the Manager-on-Duty and lead daily store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable provincial employment standards.
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and product demonstration areas in accordance with DJI brand guidelines.
- Support inventory management, stock replenishment, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention initiatives.
- Resolve escalated customer concerns and provide support with warranty, repair intake, and after-sales service.




- Support new store openings, promotional campaigns, and product launches.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.

Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience (consumer electronics, technology, premium retail, or specialty retail preferred).
- Demonstrated success in achieving or contributing to sales targets.
- Solid leadership, coaching, communication, and team-building skills.
- Excellent customer service and conflict resolution abilities.
- Experience with POS systems, inventory management software, Microsoft Excel, and basic reporting.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Meet the minimum working age requirements under applicable provincial employment standards.
- Available to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Successfully pass a background check where permitted by applicable law.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and perform physical retail duties, including standing, walking, bending, reaching, stocking merchandise, and moving display equipment throughout the shift.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with drones, cameras, gimbals, or consumer electronics.
- Post-secondary education in Business, Retail Management, or a related field.
- Existing knowledge of DJI products is an asset.
- Bilingual (English/French or English/Mandarin) is considered an asset.

Pay: $58,000.00-$63,000.00 per year
