Lumenus Community Services is urgently hiring Respite Support Workers for its dedicated team. In this full-time position, you will provide care for children with significant needs, using evidence-informed interventions. Your role includes assessing client skills, managing challenging behavior, and creating a nurturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support therapeutic interventions tailored to client needs
• Provide a validating, nurturing environment for diverse clients
• Assess skills and needs through daily observations




• Engage children in recreational and individualized goals
• Manage challenging behavior using crisis intervention techniques

Requirements:
• College Diploma in ECE, CYC, SSW, DSW, or equivalent
• Experience supporting children/youth with autism
• Knowledge of Applied Behaviour Analysis principles
• Understanding of social service systems in the GTA
• Reliable transportation for various work sites
