Interior Health is looking for a skilled Medical Laboratory Technologist for a full-time position at Nicola Valley Hospital in Merritt, B.C. This role involves performing complex tests and ensuring quality care in a team-oriented environment.

As a vital member of the Medical Laboratory Department, you will conduct a variety of routine and complex tests using both manual and automated techniques. You’ll greet patients, collect specimens, enter data into the Laboratory Information System, and maintain instruments. Additionally, participate in departmental training to enhance your skills across areas like microbiology and hematology.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests
• Collect and process patient specimens




• Enter data accurately into the Laboratory Information System
• Validate and report test results
• Maintain instruments and prepare solutions as needed

Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Laboratory Program
• One year of recent laboratory experience
• Successful completion of competency exams
• Registration in relevant practice areas
• Commitment to patient-centered care
