Make a difference in the community as a Residential Care Worker with the Developmental Disabilities Association in Vancouver. Assist residents with their various needs, enhancing their quality of life effectively.
This part-time, temporary position requires a compassionate and proactive individual to support residents in a group home. You will help meet physical, emotional, and social needs through daily living activities. Collaboration with a dedicated team and the ability to independently solve problems will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist residents in daily living and recreational activities
• Support residents’ emotional and social needs effectively
• Work independently and as part of a team-oriented team
• Enhance residents' quality of life with initiative
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Social Services or related field
• 1-2 years’ experience working with developmental disabilities
• Class 5 Driver's License required
• Medical Clearance for physical tasks
• Criminal Record Clearance needed
