Role Description This full-time, on-site Journeyman Steamfitter and Welder role is based in Calgary, AB and involves working on commercial, industrial, and service projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, fabricating, and maintaining piping systems for steam and other process services, interpreting blueprints and specifications, and ensuring work meets applicable codes and safety standards. The role also includes performing welding tasks on various pipe materials, conducting quality checks on joints and fittings, and collaborating with other trades and site supervisors to coordinate project schedules.



Team members are expected to follow all union and site safety procedures, participate in required safety meetings, and maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency with pipe and pipefitting work, including installation, layout, and assembly of piping systems.
Strong welding skills, including TIG welding, with the ability to work on various materials and positions to meet project specifications.
Experience working with steam systems, including understanding of steam distribution, condensate return, and related safety practices.
Valid Journeyperson certification in Steamfitting/Pipefitting and Welding (or equivalent Red Seal or provincial credential).
Current safety certifications (e.g., CSTS, WHMIS, fall protection) and commitment to safe work practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, isometrics, and technical drawings, with strong attention to detail and quality.
Reliable team-oriented work ethic, ability to work in varying site conditions, and physical capacity to perform manual tasks.
Previous experience on unionized commercial or industrial projects in Alberta is an asset.
