Enhance community mental health access as the Community Supports Coordinator with CMHA Wood Buffalo. Provide individualized support for mental health and substance use challenges through system navigation and compassionate advocacy.
This role focuses on person-centred support for individuals and families dealing with mental health issues. You'll assist in applications for financial aid, connect clients to affordable services, and maintain active documentation of caseloads. The Coordinator also promotes CMHA Wood Buffalo's initiatives and participates in professional development opportunities to enrich community integration and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide system navigation and advocacy for clients and families
• Assist clients with financial aid applications and appeals
• Connect individuals to affordable community support services
• Maintain comprehensive client records and documentation
• Promote CMHA Wood Buffalo’s programs within the community
Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in human services or equivalent experience
• Previous experience in the mental health field
• Solid communication and organizational skills
• Advanced MS Office proficiency
• Clear CRIM Check required
