Senior Telecommunication System Specialist Level 3 to support mission-critical telecommunications and secure communications infrastructure operating within complex defence and security environments
Our public sector client is seeking a Senior Telecommunication System Specialist Level 3 to support mission-critical telecommunications and secure communications infrastructure operating within complex defence and security environments .
This role supports the maintenance, integration, configuration, sustainment, and lifecycle management of telecommunications systems and classified network environments. The position involves work across secure communications architectures, tactical communications systems, telecommunications networks, encrypted communications, satellite communications, radio frequency systems, and security accreditation activities supporting operational readiness.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze telecommunications system and subsystem interface documentation related to radio, microwave, satellite, networking, and telecommunications technologies
Analyze telecommunications system discrepancies, deficiencies, performance issues, and equipment changes, and provide recommendations for resolution
Support the maintenance, configuration, integration, and lifecycle management of secure telecommunications and communications systems
Assess and evaluate communications system integrations, interoperability requirements, and equipment modernization initiatives
Support technical planning and procurement activities through the preparation of specifications, standards, statements of work, technical assessments, and supporting documentation
Prepare technical reports, communications architecture documentation, presentations, status reports, and briefing materials for stakeholders and project leadership
Conduct obsolescence assessments and identify risks associated with end-of-life hardware, software, firmware, and communications equipment
Provide recommendations and mitigation strategies to address technology lifecycle, sustainment, and modernization requirements
Participate in testing,
integration, accreditation, and operational readiness activities related to secure communications systems
Support the development and maintenance of system documentation, configuration baselines, technical standards, and operational procedures
Must Haves
Telecommunications Systems Specialist - 10+ years
Type I Encryption & Tactical Data Links - 3+ years
Nice to Have
Experience preparing security accreditation and authorization documentation
Experience supporting secure facility accreditation activities
Experience preparing technical architecture documentation, engineering assessments, and risk analyses
Experience working with federal cybersecurity and security accreditation frameworks
