Job Summary As a Senior UX Designer , you will join the Public Website Design team, working on projects for customer-facing properties such as CIBC.com, Simplii Financial, Investor's Edge, Wealth, and CIBC Client. You'll leverage your UX expertise to lead design tasks from research to wireframes, workshops, testing, and polished presentations. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to design systems and frameworks. You will be open to learning new technologies, such as Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS, Confluence/Jira, and Office 365. In addition to leadership, you will have a good understanding of CSS and HTML, strong collaboration, communication, presentation, time-management, and organization skills — able to work closely with your team on multiple initiatives at once and apply prioritization accordingly.
Key Responsibilities Lead design tasks from research to wireframes, workshops, testing, and polished presentations
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public site projects across various lines of business (Deposit Products & CC, Wealth, Client, Simplii, Advice)
Contribute to design systems and frameworks
Work within a team organized into pods; each pod includes UX, Visual, and Content Designers, plus extended team members (SEO, Accessibility, Dev, etc.)
Apply a good understanding of CSS and HTML in design work
Manage multiple initiatives at once and apply prioritization accordingly
Learn and work with new technologies including Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) CMS, Confluence/Jira, and Office 365
Required Skills 5–7 years of UX experience in the digital space (responsive web design)
Formal UX training and strong portfolio
Proficiency in Figma
Experience running workshops and conducting UX research (Maze, Usertesting.com)
Familiarity with analytics tools (Adobe Analytics)
Strong communication skills
Ability to articulate design decisions in an organized and concise manner
Strong presenter (oral and visual)
Experience running workshops
Preferred Skills Experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Experience working for financial institutions or agencies
Strong understanding of visual design principles
Education Requirements Formal UX training required
Solid portfolio required
Required Experience 5–7 years of UX experience in the digital space (responsive web design)
Work Environment / Physical Requirements Hybrid work arrangement: 1 to 2 days per week in office (currently Wednesdays and third Friday of each month)
37.5 hours per week
