Join Hydro Ottawa as the Technical Standards Manager, directing the asset management strategy and ensuring compliance with engineering standards in a hybrid role. This position emphasizes leadership and technical expertise. As the Manager of Asset Management & Technical Standards, you will report to the Director of Distribution Engineering.
Your mission will be to lead a team dedicated to optimizing the lifecycle of distribution assets. You’ll manage compliance with safety regulations while ensuring the resilience and sustainability of the distribution network. Drive forward-thinking engineering practices that meet the challenges of electrification and climate change. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a high-performing team through mentorship and goal setting
- Develop strategic Asset Management Plans for corporate alignment
- Oversee engineering standards and system coordination
- Navigate regulatory compliance and risk modeling
- Manage departmental budgets for optimal resource allocation Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited program
- Licensed Qualified Engineer in Ontario
- At least five years of leadership experience
- Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management is a plus
