The Role As an Associate, Public Markets Middle Office, you will independently manage the end-to-end processing of corporate actions and asset servicing activities across global markets and asset classes. You will provide guidance on complex events, support junior team members, and partner with investment teams and key stakeholders to ensure the accurate and timely execution of critical operational activities.
The Team The Public Markets Middle Office supports investment activities by ensuring the accurate, timely, and complete processing of corporate actions, asset servicing events, and related operational activities across global markets and asset classes. As a critical control function, the team helps safeguard the integrity of positions, cash flows, entitlements, and reporting while partnering closely with investment professionals and operational stakeholders.
Accountabilities Independently manage the end-to-end lifecycle of voluntary and mandatory corporate action events, including validation, entitlement analysis, election processing, instruction management, reconciliation, and reporting.
Ensure positions, cash movements, entitlements, and off-market transactions are accurately reflected across internal systems while meeting market deadlines and established controls.
Research complex corporate action events, tax implications, eligibility requirements,



and market terms to support informed operational and investment decisions.
Identify, assess, and resolve operational risks, discrepancies, aged exceptions, and control issues, escalating matters appropriately and contributing to a strong control environment.
Build effective partnerships with investment teams, Finance, Legal, Tax, Compliance, custodians, counterparties, and external service providers, providing clear communication on risks, timelines, and required actions.
Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and work review for junior team members while contributing to process documentation, knowledge sharing, and assigned team initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through process enhancements, automation, technology solutions, and the responsible adoption of AI-enabled tools.
What You Bring 5+ years of progressive experience in investment operations, middle office, corporate actions, or asset servicing supporting global markets.
Strong knowledge of the corporate action lifecycle across equities, fixed income, and/or derivative products, including voluntary, mandatory, and mandatory-with-choice events.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex, time-sensitive work while exercising sound judgement and effective risk management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate complex information for a variety of stakeholders.
Experience providing guidance, coaching, or work review to junior colleagues in a collaborative team environment.
Experience with investment operations platforms such as Murex, SimCorp, CApTAIN, Bloomberg AIM, S&P; Global MCA, and intermediate to advanced MS Excel is considered an asset.
Familiarity with AI-enabled productivity tools is preferred.
Post-secondary education in Business,



Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred.
