Role Description The Fabrication Operation Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater St-Catharines-Niagara Metropolitan Area. This role oversees daily fabrication and welding operations, ensuring projects are scheduled, tracked, and completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Responsibilities include monitoring production workflows, coordinating with shop supervisors and welding technicians, reviewing job costs and resource utilization,



and preparing operational and financial performance reports. The Fabrication Operation Controller collaborates with leadership to optimize processes, manage inventory and materials, support maintenance planning, and uphold safety and compliance requirements. The role also involves regular communication with internal stakeholders to align fabrication priorities with customer deadlines and business objectives.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to interpret operational data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Candidates should possess Finance and Accounting skills to track job costing, budgeting, and operational expenses.
Candidates should possess Operations Management skills to coordinate workflows, allocate resources, and improve shop efficiency.
Candidates should possess clear and effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey operational updates.
Experience in manufacturing, metal fabrication, or industrial operations is highly beneficial.
Proficiency with ERP systems, production planning tools, or spreadsheets for reporting and analysis is preferred.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in an industrial or fabrication workplace is an asset.
Relevant post-secondary education in Business, Finance, Operations Management, Engineering Technology, or a related field is desired.
