What can you expect?

The Sunshine Village Daycare is a drop-in center licensed for up to 45 children aged 19 months to 6 years. The Daycare has an excellent reputation and is therefore a busy, fun and dynamic place to work. This position reports directly to the Tiny Tigers Supervisor. This position assists the Supervisor to oversee all day-to-day operations of the Daycare to ensure a safe, fun and constructive environment and our Daycare based Ski School Programs.

This job might be right for you if you think you would really enjoy:

- Assisting the Supervisor to oversee all day-to-day operations of the Daycare and associated ski lesson programs.
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Daycare as part of the Tiny Tigers Program.
- Helping to ensure that the Daycare facility is clean, neat and orderly at all times.
- Engaging with parents to ensure that first and last impressions are the very best
- Interacting and engaging with the children in a range of activities and educational experiences.
- Helping to ensure the Daycare programs operate according to budget where revenues, labour costs and operating expenses are concerned.
- Helping train, coach and manage Daycare staff to ensure that they stay animated and engaged.
- Helping snow around the Daycare entrance, exterior, learning slope and the conveyor lift.
- Helping to ensure that financial and booking transactions are accurate, balanced and complete.




- Ensuring that the Daycare meets both governmental and company standards.
- Other duties as assigned.

And you have:

- The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years related experience in addition to:
- A level three certification in Early Childhood Education.
- Past experience working with 3 to 5 years old children in a childcare setting.
- Proven experience managing a group of up to 10 Staff.
- Infant First Aid.
- Valid Ski Instructor Certification is an asset.

Additional Considerations:

- Employees must always be of a sound mind, exhibit positive judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
- This position is also in a high-altitude environment. An appropriate level of physical fitness is required.
- Some required uniform pieces are provided. Candidates must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions of an indoor/outdoor role at a ski area.

This role is subject to all terms and conditions of the Sunshine Village Employee Handbook, Policy Manual, and the Alberta Employment Standards Code.
