Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Fredericton, NB

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Pay Rate: $23.00 - $25.00/hr

Assignment Information:

Advantage Personnel is seeking a Field Technician to join our support team in Fredericton, NB. This role is for a leader who thrives in dynamic environments, prioritizing excellent customer service. You will work across multiple locations in Fredericton, NB, using technology to coordinate associates. We are looking for a proactive self-starter comfortable with change and skilled in various technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support end users daily with desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
- Resolve technical issues that require hands-on assistance or exceed Service Desk capabilities.
- Deploy IT solutions for end user devices and introduce current technologies like computers, tablets, printers, VoIP phones, network gear, servers, satellite systems, and software.
- Analyze and document critical issues, escalating them as needed.
- Monitor and ensure prompt escalation of customer issues to internal teams and vendors.




- Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, and installations.
- Provide support to retail locations and client affiliates in the Saint John area.

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in customer-facing technical roles.
- Customer service-oriented with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
- Physical capability to set up and deploy computer equipment.
- Proficiency in:
- Windows 10
- Microsoft 365
- Microsoft SCCM
- DHCP
- DNS
- WiFi

- Basic networking skills including wireless and endpoint switching (Cisco, Juniper), and client remote access.
- Certifications preferred:

- Network+
- A+
- Lenovo Hardware
- Dell Hardware
- Cisco Switching (CCNA)

Work Conditions:

The Field Technician role involves frequent travel to various job environments, including customer sites, retail locations, and remote areas as needed.
