Job Overview

We are looking for a millwright to join our InterPro Pipe and Steel team.

Responsibilities

- Inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain all mechanical equipment in a major producing unit or assigned area.
- Receive instructions covering scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
- Inspect mill equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.
- Determine the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
- Advise when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
- Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, assemble, and lubricate mechanical equipment.
- Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics.
- Make either temporary or permanent repairs.
- Assemble and align gears, bearings and shafts, involving the application of press, sliding and running fits.
- Work with repair crew as directed on emergency breakdowns.
- Other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

- Must possess a Red Seal Journeyman Certificate or Alberta Journeyman Certificate.
- Previous work experience in an industrial manufacturing setting is an asset.
- Must be able to work rotating shifts (days & nights).




- Must successfully pass the pre-employment screening process.
