In this permanent part time role, you will contribute to the Women's & Newborn Health Program, focusing on providing individual and family counseling to those experiencing stress from hospitalization and pre-term birth. Collaborating with an interprofessional team, you'll utilize your expertise in trauma responsive care, mental health, and family dynamics to support patients. Your background will allow you to build partnerships and advocate for vital resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and family counseling services
• Conduct screenings and psychosocial assessments
• Liaise with health and government services
• Supervise clinical placements and teach
• Work collaboratively with neonatal team members
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work
• Current Nova Scotia College of Social Workers license
• Minimum two years clinical experience
• Knowledge of child development and women’s health
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
