Senior Appian Developer to lead L2/L3 production support, incident management, and root cause resolution across Appian Workflow, RPA, and IDP applications for an enterprise client.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in business or computer science, or an equivalent combination of training and experience, with a minimum of 5 years as an Appian Platform engineer or developer.
Appian Work flow, IDP and RPA skills
Strong experience supporting production systems, including incident management (L2/L3), root cause analysis, and system operations.
Hands-on experience with Appian, including support and maintenance of low-code applications, as well as Appian RPA and IDP (Intelligent Document Processing) solutions in production environments.
Experience with logical data modelling and supporting integrations between SAP systems and various third-party and legacy systems.
Proven ability to prioritize, plan, and coordinate KTLO activities while managing incidents, defects, and changes.
Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex technical issues and delivering sustainable fixes and automation.
Experience mentoring team members on support processes, troubleshooting techniques, and operational best practices.
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams and clearly articulate issues and resolutions to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly analytical with excellent problem-solving abilities, with a focus on system stability, performance, and continuous improvement.
Experience in financial services or regulated environments is an asset. Familiarity with Agile practices in a support context and working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and ServiceNow.
Appian Certified Senior or Lead Software Developer Certification Recommended.
Ensures stability and reliability of production systems by reviewing fixes, performing root cause analysis, and validating resolutions, while providing feedback during incident reviews.
Leads troubleshooting and resolution of complex production issues (L2/L3), ensuring timely restoration within SLAs.
Proactively monitors applications, identifies anomalies, and implements preventive measures to reduce incidents.
Drives problem management by addressing recurring issues through root cause fixes and automation.
Enhances system performance and resilience through targeted improvements and tuning.
Supports change and release activities to ensure smooth, low-risk deployments.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve issues effectively and maintain service continuity.
Maintains runbooks and documentation to improve support efficiency.
Drives automation to reduce manual effort and improve response times.
Mentors team members on support best practices and ensure compliance with security and governance standards while providing feedback to leadership on system health and risks.
