As the Traffic Operations Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of the transportation network through traffic management, road use permitting, traffic signal operations and technical review services. Reporting to the Traffic Operations Manager, you will review and support internal teams with complex Traffic Management Plans, signage and pavement marking warrants and designs, traffic operations technical reviews and other operational traffic matters to support safe, efficient and reliable movement across Kelowna’s transportation network.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, with related consulting or municipal experience. A Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or another Canadian jurisdiction, is required; however, an A.L.P. Eng.
with significant relevant experience may be considered. Experience with Synchro, traffic data analysis and interpretation would be an asset.

This exempt position offers a salary range of $106,000 to $123,000.
