Trans Mountain Environmental Specialist – Vegetation (Alberta) Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. Responsibilities - Coordinate in‑field vegetation management activities within facilities, temporary laydowns, rights‑of‑way.

- Facilitate access to Trans Mountain treatment sites by communicating with internal teams for safe work permits and entry requests into controlled facilities.
- Communicate and consult with environmental inspectors, land agents, landowners and affected stakeholders to secure proper access to treatment sites.
- Complete weed surveys and IAPP survey data.




- Attend and support pre‑season 2026 vegetation management training sessions and field kickoff meetings.
- Complete desktop reviews, environmentally sensitive site‑specific planning, chemical rotations, and site‑specific herbicide requirements.
- Mitigate potential impacts to socio‑economic sensitivities.
- Provide technical coaching to the vegetation management company as needed.
- Complete pre/post treatment inspections (chemical/mechanical/manual) on all sites.
- Ensure all site activities comply with Trans Mountain’s vegetation management standards, plans and procedures. persona - Review and approve daily field tickets to ensure work on site reflects the daily ticket charges.
- Provide weekly progress reports on number of sites completed and contractor cost to the Senior Environmental Advisor.
- Record and maintain data in Enablon (internal data tracking system) for all treatment sites.
- Ensure documentation and records are accurate, timely and meet Program and Canadian Energy Regulator (CER) requirements.
- Coordinate with internal Trans Mountain team members to meet vegetation management objectives and deliverables in a timely manner.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure treatments fulfill plant and Patterson &appliance; of the company Weed Management Plan, the Integrated Vegetation Management Plan and applicable CER conditions.




- Provide recommendations for improving vegetation management program efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or equivalent diploma and relevant field experience.

- A minimum of 3 years of experience in vegetation management or related environmental work.
- Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams, both internally and externally.
- Experience liaising with a large project team to maintain a coordinated approach to vegetation issues.
